| View my project's time lapse here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCIDEdfVNYM&feature=youtu.be Or: see the video on the side of the blog ---> There was not that many challenges with this change project; other than the actual buying of the materials (gummy bears). The main challenge was time spacing with the all the snow days. The days off affected my project (part one mostly); the gummy bears hardened so it was harder to work with them ( to add detail or designs) and part one was "over done" (not meant to be in water a whole week). The way I overcame this time challenge is changed direction of my project by adding less detail within the letter and rainbow and added background instead. The idea of using food in general for my change project came before the idea of gummy bears. The idea of using gummy bears came from my teacher, Mrs. Purtee who suggested it because it would be a good melting material to demonstrate change. This idea changed and developed by using multiple brands of gummy bears (which had different textures when melted) and by doing a series of pieces (the three parts). Overall the project exhibited change also because it was the overall idea for the project was edited throughout. I would call this project successful because I worked hard on it and made several pieces to be a part of the Gummy Bear Saga. The result was some what expected because I knew the gummies would melt under the heat, but the shapes and mixing of colors (see part three) were unexpected. If I were to change how I accomplished this project, I would make a bigger background for the gummies to sit on, that way, the letters could be more spread out and could create more of a dripping effect. |
